Guide to split pdf
Define page groups before splitting
Split PDF helps when a single document contains multiple chapters, forms, or sets of attachments that you want to save as separate files. Enter a page range for each result and separate groups with semicolons, for example 1-4; 5-8; 9. Page numbers start from the first page of the file, so match the numbers to the preview, not the print numbers which may differ within the document.
Ranges that are not entered are not included in the results. Therefore, make sure that no mandatory pages are accidentally left behind. You can use the preset division into two parts or one page per file as a starting point, then adjust the range for your document.
How results are shared and checked
Each batch is created as a new PDF and the results are packaged together in a ZIP archive. Once the process is complete, download the ZIP and then extract it on the device to view the part files one by one. The section names follow the order in which you enter them, so use a consistent page list so that the contents of each result are easy to recognize.
Before sharing the file, open each section and make sure the span is correct, the splash page is not cut off, and sensitive content is not in the wrong group. Splitting doesn't delete or overwrite resources on the device. Digitally signed files can lose validity once their pages are split; use appropriate copy at the recipient's discretion and review the results carefully.
Additional limits and checks
One source PDF remains saved; The ZIP contains a copy of each group created. Check the contents of the ZIP after extracting it and rename the parts that need to be shared. Don't delete pages from the original file based solely on sharing results, especially if there are document retention or audit rules in place.
