Guide to extract pdf pages
Take the pages you really need
Extracting pages is useful when you only need to send a single sheet, a few attached pages, or a specific section of a longer PDF. Select page numbers via preview or enter a list such as 1-3, 5, 8. Use the serial number on the file, not the number printed in the footer of the document, because the cover page often makes the two different.
Selecting fewer pages can make the resulting file smaller because other content is not included, but this process is not compression. If the selected page contains large images, the results can still be large. To save different sections as multiple files, use the PDF split tool; extract creates a single document containing your selection of pages.
Review copy before sending
The source file remains on the device and the extraction result is created as a new PDF. Open the results after downloading to ensure the requested pages are complete, sequenced, and readable. Check attachments or links that are part of your workflow, as elements outside the page view may not behave the same on new copy.
If the source document is digitally signed, changes to the page structure may make the signature no longer valid. For contracts, certificates, or official forms, follow the recipient's rules and do not consider the extracted file to be equivalent to the original signed document. Save the source and use extraction only for working copies where it is needed.
Additional limits and checks
The page numbers on the form refer to the order of the PDF file, not the chapter numbers printed in the footer. Check the selected pages in the preview before processing and open the resulting file after downloading. If the recipient requires specific supporting pages, make sure they are included in the selection and the order is understandable without loss of context.
For information on file processing, see privacy policy. Limits on the tool's workspace apply if they are stricter than the general limits.
